The current Porsche Panamera is a car that is great in many ways. However, looks are often not on the list of top things to like about it. This is finally changed with the brand new model just coming in. The Panamera is a perfect combination of luxury and classic Porsche performance. The new engines in the different levels of Panameras will all feature forced induction by two turbochargers.
The entry level 4s will feature a 2.9liter six-cylinder engine that will produce 440 horses. It allows the car to sprint to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. The Panamera Turbo will produce a whooping 550 horse, which allows the car to hit 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds. The top speed is limited to 191 mph. All the engines will feature Porsche’s famous PDK transmission, which sends the power to all four wheels.
In our honest opinion, it is not the engine upgrades that excite us nearly as much as the brand new sparkling design of the car. The wheelbase extends 3 cm. A brand new spoiled that appears at faster speeds in three pieces, and combines to a single solid one (looks like Tony Stark built this one). The interior now features a new 12’ touchscreen upfront, and another one in the back for rear passengers. Many packages are included to make this car a either perfectly comfortable luxury sedan, or a maniac on the track. Some include Porsche’s Dynamic Chassis Control, and an adjustable air suspension.
Now to the track figures. This impressive vehicle has set a new record and claimed the fastest sedan title on the Nurburgring. It achieved an outstanding time of 7 minutes and 38 seconds. This car will go on sale in 2017. The Panamera 4S will start at $101,040, and the Turbo will start at $147,950.
