Mercedes has recently unveiled the newest sixth generation 2016 Merdeces E-Class Estate at the MercedesCup tennis tournament in Stuttgart, Germany. Its entry-level AMG variant has also been unveiled – the Mercedes-AMG E 43 Estate, with more powerful 63 series AMG variants are expected to arrive at an unknown later date.
This sixth generation Mercedes E-Class Estate will offer 670 liters of boot space, which can be increased to 1,820 liters by folding down the rear seats. Like its predecessors, buyers can also opt for a three-row crossover / SUV alternative by adding in a third, folding seat bench.
The 2016 E-Class Estate will have new features like Remote Parking Pilot, and the Drive Pilot autonomous driving function. 12.3-inch displays for the instrument panel and infotainment system will also be included with a touchpad with handwriting recognition, as well as the Linguatronic voice control system for various other functions.
The 2016 Mercedes-AMG E 43 Estate will have a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 petrol engine producing 401 hp, and will be capable of a 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds.
